FOURTH OF JULY ACTIVITIES

Fireworks!! What's happening this Fourth of July in your area? Naturally, everyone wants to know when and where all the fireworks are happening. Well here is a list of things going on this year.

East Bay

  • Wednesday 7/4 8:00am - FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION & PARADE
    Todos Santos Plaza in Concord hosts a pancake breakfast, live music, food, fireworks, and more.


  • Wednesday 7/4 10:00am - INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
    The USS Hornet at Pier 3 in Alameda hosts a day of activites for kids and adults alike. Take tours of the restored USS Hornet, enjoy food and drink. Activities for children include clowns, bounce houses, and more. Fireworks can be viewed from the deck of the ship.

  • Wednesday 7/4 10:00am - OLD FASHIONED INDEPENDENCE DAY
    Ardenwood Historic Farm hosts a day of kids activities, contests, and live music.

  • Wednesday 7/4 Noon - FOURTH OF JULY AT BERKELEY MARINA
    Come on out to the Berkeley marina for a day of food, live music, belly dancers, cars, arts & crafts, and activities for children and adults like free sail boat and dragon boat rides. Fireworks at 9:30pm.

    Downtown Danville hosts a traditional Fourth of July parade to honor America's Veterans.

    Robertson Park in Livermore hosts a day of live music, games, food and more.


  • Wednesday 7/4 - STAR SPANGLED SPECTACULAR
    San Ramon Central Park hosts a day of live music, food, flag ceremony, and fireworks.


SF & Peninsula

  • Tuesday 7/3 7:30pm - PRE-INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION
    The Frost Amphitheater at Stanford hosts a picnic followed by an evening of music by the New Orleans Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and a fireworks display.

  • Wednesday 7/4 10:00am - INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE & CELEBRATION
    Redwood City hosts the largest Independence Day parade in the US, starting at 10:00am. Enjoy a day of parade-watching, live music, food, arts & crafts. Then cap off the night with a fireworks display at the waterfront.

    Golden Gate Park Main Concourse adjacent to the de Young Museum hosts a day of Patriot music featuring conductor Michael L. Wirgler.

    The Aquatic Park near Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco hosts a day of live music featuring the Max Perkoff Jazz Ensemble, the Marcus Shelby Jazz Quartet, Latoya London, Les Miserables, Stompy Jones, Mystique and Dwayne Wiggins.

    Downtown Morgan Hill hosts street dancing, live music, food and more on 7/3 at 7pm. Pancake breakfast, 5k Run/1-mile Walk, live entertainment, car show, parade, and more on 7/4. Fireworks display follows later in the evening on 7/4.

    Discovery Meadow in downtown San Jose hosts a day of live music, cultural entertainment, ethnic foods, and more. Fireworks display follows later in the evening.

    Milpitas Sports Center hosts an afternoon pool party and concert. Fireworks display follows later in the evening.


  • Wednesday 7/4 5:00pm - SPIRIT OF AMERICA
    Church on the Hill in San Jose hosts a day of live music, plenty of food, exhibitors, an art gallery, and activities for the kids plus a fireworks display later in the evening.

    City of Gilroy hosts a fireworks display above the High School to celebrate Independence Day.

    Aptos hosts a variety of events: Pancake breakfast at Britannia Arms starting from 7:30am to 11:00am. World's shortest parade starts at 10:00am. Then Party in the Park from 11:30am.


  • Wednesday 7/4 8:00am - SPIRIT OF WATSONVILLE
    Downtown Watsonville hosts a pancake breakfast and Independence Day parade.


  • Wednesday 7/4 11:00am - OLD FASHIONED INDEPENDENCE DAY
    Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz hosts a day live music, games, crafts, and demonstrations. Parade at noon.


  • Wednesday 7/4 3:00pm - SCOTTS VALLEY INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
    Parade begins at 3:00pm along Scotts Valley Dr. Music follows at 5:00pm at Community Center and Skypark. Fireworks display follows later in the evening.


  • Wednesday 7/4 - FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
    Roaring Camp Railroads in Felton hosts an old-fashioned family day of sack races, balloon toss, live music, food, and more.
